Voorpret
Service Design Project
2021
This was the final project that we had to develop for the end of the first year of the RCA MA Service Design course. For this particular project, we were tasked to choose an official partnership between various options, and develop a project which would satisfy their specific brief. In my group's case, we chose to work with the Replenish Earth studio. We aimed to tackle the growing awareness of eco-friendly travel and its significant impact on future travel trends. Moreover, we aimed to develop a project which would focus on the increasing demand for domestic travel right after the pandemic. Thus, Voorpret was born. Voorpret is a service that provides a cultural exchange within one city without traveling afar. It is set out to push the future of the holiday mindset. As a result of such shifts, we contribute to reducing
carbon emissions from long-distance flights for holidays. The end product also includes a business plan which shows the possible interested parties, the hypothetical fundings, intended audience, and the evolution of the service in the future. The project was approved by both our tutors and our partners at Replenish earth and was considered amongst one of the most daring of the entire first-year MA Service Design class.
